Liberty Belle

Liberty Belle (or Libby) is my service dog. She is an American Hairless Terrier. Actually, she is the 1st service dog of her breed. She has been trained and helping me live life for over 10 years. She has saved my life on multiple occasions in multiple ways. Libby is very smart (sometimes too smart). She opens all kinds of things for me! She opens sugar packets for my drinks, opens bandages for me (she even takes the paper on the sticky parts off for me), zippers, buttons, glide zip lock baggies, and much more. She is also dual certified for PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). On occasion, while in public, I might start to panic about something or just get anxious. She pulls me to a corner and makes me hold her until I’m ready. She just knows when I need her. She is amazing!! Oh yeah…and…she’s pink 😊
